CSSP
is working with the Casey Foundation and
KIDS COUNT grantees on the Policy Matters
Initiatiave. Over the past several
years, CSSP has convened hundreds of policy
experts and advocates to build a comprehensive
set of state level children and family "friendly"
policies across a wide range of issue areas.
The Center continues to consult with KIDS
COUNT grantees on the use of these tools
and the dissemination of the 50 state report.

Center on Budget and Policy Priorities has
for several years coordinated the State
Fiscal Analysis Initiative. As a part of
that initiative, through which budget and

Fight
Crime / Invest in Kids
In 2006 we have
been working on developing a relationship
between Fight Crime: Invest in Kids and
the KIDS COUNT Network. Fight Crime brings
to bear an important cadre of state and
local level officials and policy makers
on issues that are important to us. One
facet of the relationship building is simply
the sharing of information between Fight
Crime and KIDS COUNT.
