KIDS COUNT 2004Welcome to The Right Start Online
Data from the 2007 The Right Start for America's Newborns report are now available. State-level data on birth outcomes are now part of our easy-to-use, powerful online database, "KIDS COUNT Data Center", which allows you to generate custom graphs, maps, ranked lists, and state-by-state profiles; or, download the entire data set as delimited text files. Data for cities are also available in pdf form below.

NOTE: Due to the re-release of the 2004 Final Natality Public Use Microdata file by the National Center for Health Statistics, Right Start data for 21 Cities has been updated (10/30/2007).

What kind of reports can I create?

Profiles Profiles by State give you detailed information about a single state, the U.S. or D.C.
   
PDF files Profiles by City allow you to download and view the print versions of the city profiles.
   
Raw Data

Raw Data give you the opportunity to download data as delimited files.

PDF files State Rankings allow you to download and view the print version of the state rankings.
   
PDF files City Rankings allow you to download and view the print version of the city rankings.
